Being a good steward takes a village.

More than 20 years ago, Imperial Stock Ranch owner Dan Carver began working with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to develop a conservation plan for the ranch. It was a road map for environmental and agricultural management.

Since then, other agencies have provided us with valuable technical and engineering help in developing, implementing and monitoring our land management plans. Could we do all that we do without the agencies? Dan Carver’s answer to that question is: “It would be a lot tougher.”
