Farm Yarn is ranch direct. Once a year we shear our alpaca, rambouillet and merino sheep, then we create a special project. For 2023 we had a 3 ply DK weight yarn spun. The softness of hand that is created by blending alpaca and the rambouillet wool is off the charts. The best part of knitting with this yarn is the way it glides off the needles.
The ply’s have a tight high amplitude twist that is just beautiful. Farm Yarn is offered in a beautiful natural creamy white and a blended rose gray.

Alpaca fiber is knitted into a pile fabric, also known as alpaca sherpa. We used Reprieve recycled nylon to knit the fabric together. We labeled this product 97% Alpaca and then the other 3 percent is the weight for the thread that holds this fabric together.
There are many uses for felt sheets. You can make a felt sound art piece for a wall or a tote bag to use at farmers markets. The uses are endless. Felt sheets are naturally moisture wicking, absorb sound and breathe (allowing air flow).
