Basket weave Dishcloth Kit – Joshua Yarn Columbia/Rambouillet Wool + Hemp

This Dishcloth is an elegant knit that is super simple to make. That’s right, it’s perfect for beginners! It is worked in an alternating pattern of purls and knits to create a woven basket weave effect that looks great on both sides, both front and back. A garter stitch border with a slip stitch edge, gives this dishcloth a tidy finish and polished look. This project is 8.25″ x 8.25″ but easily adapts to different sizes if a towel is more your style.

Made from 1 skein of Joshua II.  Our new rambouillet/Columbia wool blended with domestic hemp.  This yarn is special. We have not made a lot of hemp blends and the two-dimensional way the yarn takes the dye, makes it look like a heather and adds a nice visual and textural enhancement.  This simple project knits up quickly and you will love the useful & durable end product.  Your kit will include 1 skein of our Joshua II DK weight yarn in your chosen color.  It arrives in our fun project bag with one of our iconic bells and of course a printed paper pattern.
